LB1945H-TLM-E Integrated Circuits (ICs)

The LB1945H-TLM-E is a motor driver controller from the PMIC (Power Management IC) family that provides control, brake and inrush current control, and protection functions for motors of various types. It is available in a wide range of sizes, interfaces, and features to suit any application. The LB1945H-TLM-E is a four-phase brushless DC motor driver controller with a maximum output current of 6 Amps and driver capability up to 10 Amps. It can be configured for either a four-phase brushless DC motor or a three-phase brushless DC motor. The driver has integrated advanced safety features such as thermal shut-down, over-voltage protection and short-circuit protection.

The LB1945H-TLM-E utilizes a two-stage controller to provide the precise control of motor speed and torque. The first stage is a state-of-the-art proportional-integral (PI) loop which provides precise control of motor speed, while the second stage is an advanced feed-forward loop, which provides precise control of motor torque. The LB1945H-TLM-E also provides a configurable inrush current control feature to prevent excessive inrush current during startup.

The LB1945H-TLM-E provides protection from over-voltage, short-circuits, under-voltage and motor temperature monitoring. It also provides a configurable stall detect feature to detect motor stall conditions and direct the driver to reduce the motor speed to avoid motor damage. The motor temperature monitoring feature can be used to detect motor temperature and enable the driver to reduce the motor speed.
