The working principle of LCA182S is based on the principle of zero-crossing switching. A zero-crossing circuit is a circuit that can determine the moment when the alternating current voltage is zero. In the LCA182S solid state relay, when the control signal is applied, the microcontroller triggers the triac to cross the current zero value to reach the trigger mode. And thus the triac is turned on, which is when the load current flows. When the trigger current has gradually dropped to zero, the triac is turned off, and the load current is cut off. In this working process, the critical parameter is the zero-crossing time of the control signal, which needs to be synchronized with the zero-crossing point of the AC voltage.
