Working Principle
The main components of LDA30F-24-CY include primary-side controller topology, transformer, bridge rectifier, secondary-side controller and output voltage controller. By using isolated transformer and 120VAC line voltage, LDA30F-24-CY works as a non-isolated, low-cost, low-EMI AC/DC converter.
LDA30F-24-CY continuously monitors the line voltage at the primary side. An embedded primary-side controller compares the AC line voltage with a fixed reference, which results in a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. This PWM signal is used to control the duty cycle and driver the transformer\'s primary side. The transformer transfers and isolates the energy to the secondary side.
At the secondary side, a bridge rectifier converts the AC voltage to a DC voltage, which then passes to the controller for regulation. The controller and output voltage controller provide safety operation with current limit, short circuit protection, over temperature protection, and line regulation. If the load current exceeds the maximum output current, the output voltage protection and auto-recovery cycle protect the converter from overload.
