LD6020NQGI Application Field and Working Principle

The LD6020NQGI is composed of two parts, the sensing module and a controller chip.The sensing module is composed of a metal-masked capacitive touch structure, which is combined with advanced noise reduction and scan circuit to sense touches on the surface of the metal mask. The metal-masked structure is composed of copper, silicon dioxide, and phosphorus glass. This combination enables the sensing module to detect the touch signals with a high degree of accuracy.The controller chip is composed of a 64-bit ARM processor, a CMOS integrated circuit and a 128-bit static RAM. The controller chip is responsible for transmitting the touch data to the external devices, storing the sensed data, and processing the sensed data in order to determine whether the data indicates a valid touch or not. The controller also provides a number of important features, such as wake-on-touch, sleep mode, multiple touch recognition and various gesture recognition functions.The working principle of the LD6020NQGI sensing module is based on the capacitance sensing method. The metal-masked capacitive touch structure is composed of two metallic surfaces and one dielectric layer between them. Each metallic surface consists of a row of horizontally across and vertically down conductive pads. The horizontal pads are connected to the sensing module\'s analog input, while the vertical pads are connected to the sensing module\'s digital output.When a finger touches on one of the conductive pads, it causes a change in the capacitance of the structure.
