Current transducers are commonly used in electrical systems and provide real-time information on current consumption. The LF 510-S, from SUSPA GmbH, is a wide-range current transducer designed for use in industrial applications requiring precise measurement of alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). This transducer is capable of accurately measuring AC/DC current up to 120 A and with a maximum full-scale error of ± 1 %.

The LF 510-S has a compact, rectangular design which allows for easy installation in tight spaces. It runs on 24 VDC, and it can be mounted in any orientation. The transducer also features selectable ranges provided by a single switch, allowing it to measure current up to 500 A. The transducer\'s binary output is a CANBus signal with 8 different commands, which can be used to control the digital device it is connected to.
