This technology combines a switched-capacitor oscillator with an open-loop voltage-controlled oscillator. It is composed of four main components: a charge pump, an oscillator cell, a frequency switch, and a voltage-controlled oscillator. The voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) uses a variable resistor to control the output frequency.The Skip-Ahead II architecture uses the charge pump along with the frequency switch to control the operating frequency, enabling frequency selection and precision. When the frequency switch is on, the charge pump charges the oscillator cell until the capacitor voltage reaches a threshold.
