Ferrite Beads and Chips

Ferrite beads and chips are mainly used to suppress high frequency interference signals on transmission lines and thus protect delicate electrical isolations from interference signals. The most common used type is LI0805G301R-10. This ferrite bead is designed for use in high-speed digital systems with feed-through capacitance of 0.37 pF maximum. It is designed to suppress EMI/RFI interference that can cause signal degradation, timing errors, and diminished system performance.

Its working frequencies are from 150MHz to 1GHz, and the impedance is from 4.5 - 6.2 ohms. The power handling capacity is from 0.35 - 0.55 watts.

In terms of noise suppression, they can reduce noises of different frequencies by absorbing and reflecting the noises. Especially for noises lying in the high frequency range, they are capable of filtering out up to 50 dB − 60 dB of noise. This space of frequency range can be easily manipulated and customized according to specific needs of the system.
