LIS331ALTR accelerometer is an application field of motion sensors. An amplitude is usually chosen for filtering; however, some applications require greater amplitude limits. The accelerometer can also be used to measure inclination and rotation rate. This is done by applying two axes, at right angles, to produce a combined signal that is analyzed in order to determine the direction of the accelerometer.

The MEMS accelerometer is often used in the automotive industry, robotics, industrial machines, and other vibration sensitive applications for measuring of velocity or impact display. It is also suitable in medical instruments such as stretchers and wheelchairs, activity trackers, control systems, etc. These accelerometers can be used in various applications which can be customized according to the requirements.
