The LKP5740-9ERG AC/DC Converter is a high-performance, multi-input AC/DC converter. It features a wide-range AC input, a wide voltage range DC output, and adjustable output current. It is suitable for applications including industrial automation, UPS, data centers, and high reliability systems.

The LKP5740-9ERG receives AC power from a universal (100-240V AC) source. It has two sets of AC inputs, each equipped with an inrush current control circuit. The AC input selection is user-selectable via a switch or via internal software. The LKP5740-9ERG is capable of accepting input voltages from 100-240V AC. A two-stage power-factor correction mechanism is included: first, a primary-side rectifier bridge is used to reduce the input current harmonic distortion, then an active power factor correction circuit is used to improve the input power factor.

The LKP5740-9ERG features an adjustable DC output voltage range (from 0 to 48V DC) to power all types of electronic equipment. An external trim potentiometer is provided to adjust the output voltage. The output current range of the LKP5740-9ERG is adjustable from 5A to 22A, with a maximum output power of 1024W. An active current limit circuit is provided for overload and short circuit protection.

The LKP5740-9ERG incorporates a digital voltage regulation loop for excellent output voltage regulation and voltage line regulation. Its voltage and current loop response is fast, achieving excellent dynamic performance and transient response. An advanced PID temperature control algorithm is used to control the internal temperature, to ensure that the converter maintains its excellent performance under high ambient temperature conditions.

At the heart of the LKP5740-9ERG is a full-bridge circuit topology which is optimized for high-efficiency and high performance. Its switching frequency can be adjusted from 200kHz to 500kHz, allowing the converter to optimize its efficiency at any given load and avoiding stand-by power loss. The synchronous rectification technique is employed to further improve efficiency at light load.

The LKP5740-9ERG also features an EMC filter for EMC compliance with EN61000-3-2 and FCC Part 15, Class B. It has a wide operating temperature range from -25 to +70°C, and is protected against over-voltage, under-voltage, over-temperature, output over-current and short circuit events.
