LM258AMDRs are used in applications where signal frequency is from DC to >200 kHz, signal amplitude is from 0 to 6V, and power requirements are low power, low noise operation and low device failure rate. In addition, the LM258AMDREP provides the capability of adding leading and trailing edge changeover points to the amplifier signal.The LM258AMDREP utilizes an integrated advanced phase multipliers system to generate a phase angle signal with an amplified output. The phase angle signal is generated by an electromagnetic flux changing device placed inside the amplifier. This allows the emitter or collector current to be controlled in order to accurately maintain a constant phase shift between the input signal and the output signal. The upper and lower transistors are provided with equal amplifier gain and are connected in the opposite phase to one another. This helps the amplifier to maintain a very high gain and low noise operation with minimal signal attenuation.In addition to providing a high gain and low noise signal, the LM258AMDREP also provides a low offset and jitter performance, as well as low DC power supply noise and temperature drift. This makes the LM258AMPREP ideal for precision amplifier and control applications, such as low voltage motor speed control, motor torque control, power source regulation and power supply regulation, voltage regulation, and current regulation.The LM258AMDREP also provides an adjustable, independent filter for each amplifier output, allowing users to reduce the amount of noise emitted by the amplifier.
