The LM98516CCMT/NOPB is a data acquisition application circuit and part of an analog front end (AFE) system. The second cell is a low-voltage programmable gain amplifier (PGA) having a gain range of -12 dB to +12 dB.The integrated 16-bit ADC of the LM98516CCMT/NOPB has programmable input ranges of ±12.8 V, ±6.4 V, ±3.2 V, and ±1.6 V. An advanced flexible sample rate generator allows the programmable sample rates from 1 kHz to 500 kHz. The ADC also has a multi-bit output width of up to 14 bits, and a conversion time of about 4 microseconds (4µs).The embedded DSP core allows the LM98516CCMT/NOPB to perform signal conditioning, filtering, and signal detection in the digital domain. It consists of a 4-channel digital signal processing (DSP) engine with 8-bit resolution and an 8-channel peripheral control unit (PCU). The PCU provides interconnectivity with other systems and peripherals in the analog front end. It also acts as a glue logic, managing the communication between the analog front end and other systems.The LM98516CCMT/NOPB has low-power consumption, making it ideal for low-cost, low-performance data acquisition applications.
