The LMH6639MAX/NOPB is a dual-channel instrumentation amplifier that uses a transconductance-type integrating structure to generate high-gain output. The transimpedance (input) amplifiers convert the differential input voltage into a transconductance signal that is then amplified to a higher level. The output of the transconductance amplifier is then summed by the unity gain summer, resulting in the overall gain of the amplifier.The LMH6639MAX/NOPB has an adjustable gain feature, which can be set via two external resistors. The output signal can be precisely adjusted from 0.1 V/V (10 dB) to 10 V/V (100 dB) by varying the resistors. The gain of the amplifier can also be programmed digitally via I2C or SPI.The LMH6639MAX/NOPB has excellent noise performance of 18 nV/√Hz due to the use of a low noise JFET input stage. The amplifier also has rail-to-rail input operation, allowing it to operate with a single supply over the complete input signal range.
