The LMH6658MAX is a high-speed, low-noise, high-efficiency amplifier ideal for use in instrumentation, op amps, buffer amps, and a range of other applications. Designed and manufactured by National Semiconductor, this amplifier is a low power, high-precision component with a wide operating range. It provides excellent linearity, power efficiency and low distortion rates; features that enable it to be used in the most demanding applications.
The LMH6658MAX offers two distinct configurations – single and dual. The single version features a low-noise, low-power stereo architecture with an efficiency of up to 92%. The dual version has an efficiency rating of up to 95% and offers higher input and output power. Both versions are available with either 3.2V or 1.5V power supplies.
The device is composed of three major blocks – the signal conditioning block, the linear amplifier block, and the output buffer amplifier block. The signal conditioning block provides signal attenuation and gain control, while the linear amplifier block includes an on-chip differential power amplifier with high power conversion efficiency and low distortion. The output buffer amplifier block ensures high-frequency stability and large signal handling capability.
The LMH6658MAX operates at a frequency range of up to 300MHZ. This frequency range allows for applications requiring high sampling rates and wide bandwidths.
