LMP2022MAX/NOPB is a high-performance, low-noise, rail-to-rail, low-offset voltage instrumentation amplifier. It is a linear instrumentation amplifier that has been designed to provide maximum performance in a miniature mobile package. The amplifier is optimized for single-supply operation, providing a wide range of common-mode voltage support with low offset voltage and a high gain bandwidth product. This application field of LMP2022MAX/NOPB is mainly used in non-isolated applications, such as temperature monitoring, industrial control systems, operational amplifiers, and voltage/current transducers.

The LMP2022MAX/NOPB is available in the industry-standard 10-pin SOIC package. It features low-noise, low-offset voltage and high-gain bandwidth product operation in a rail-to-rail input/output range. There are two gain stage, P60 and P80, which provide adjustable gains of up to 120dB and 140dB, respectively. The amplifier also features a GSM2/4 low-noise buffer with a low equivalent input noise to provide improved accuracy in wide range of applications.

The working principle of LMP2022MAX/NOPB is based on the use of two gain stages serially connected to maximize the performance. The first stage is the instrumentation amplifier, which is a differential amplifier whose gain is determined by the ratio of the feedback resistors. This gain is proportional to the absolute value of the ratio and is limited to a maximum of 120dB. The second stage is the GSM2/4 buffer, which has a wide common-mode voltage range, a wide input voltage range, and a low equivalent input noise level. This stage boosts the overall gain by removing the capacitive loading of the front-end amplifier stage. The overall gain of the amplifier is regulated by the two precision resistors connected at the output, providing adjustable gains from 0dB to 140dB.
