Radio frequency (RF) evaluation and development kits and boards are important for any RF technology-oriented project. The LMV232TLEVAL is a highly flexible evaluation kit designed for use with the LMV232T evaluation board. This evaluation board is based on the Texas Instruments\' (TI) new-generation low voltage transceiver family, the LMV232T. The LMV232TLEVAL evaluation board integrates TI\'s LVPECL (low-voltage positive-emitting-clamp-logic) termination buffers for differential data-signal inputs, as well as an adjustable output current driver for LNA control. It also includes a configurable, universal analog-to-digital (ADC) front-end, as well as a configurable input for measurements, and an adjustable power amplifier (PA) control. By leveraging TI\'s dedicated LVPECL interface, the evaluation board is capable of handling frequencies up to 6GHz and data rates up to 33MB/s.
The evaluation board includes a wide range of features that make it suitable for evaluation of RF systems, including adjustable input offsets, adjustable current-level regulation, configurable filter and voltage levels. The board also features high-frequency stability and low-noise performance to minimize adverse impact on system performance. It has several onboard test points and connectors to permit easy monitoring of system performance and connectivity, and also includes a full set of evaluation signals, including loopback and trigger line.
The LMV232T evaluation board is also equipped with software drivers for device configuration and signal routing.
