The LMV834MT/NOPB is packaged in a 7-pin SOT-23 package and is available in an 8-pin SOIC package Application FieldThe LMV834MT/NOPB can be used in a wide range of applications due to its wide gain accuracy of up to 0.01 percent as well as its low power consumption. It can be used in audio applications, such as amplifiers and filters, instrumentation applications, such as digital voltmeters and frequency or pulse generators, and power measurements, such as current sensing or simple commutator replacement circuits. The LMV834MT/NOPB can also be used in any application where rail-to-rail input and output ranges are needed.Working PrincipleThe LMV834MT/NOPB operates on a single supply of between 1.8V and 5.5V. The amplifier consists of two input channels, each with a gain accuracy of 0.01 percent and a low power consumption of 5.5 mW max. The input of the amplifier can accept a wide range of input signal from a 0.3V rail-to-rail input range to a maximum of the supply voltage. The output can provide rail-to-rail performance with a voltage range of 0.15V to the supply voltage. The amplifier also features short-circuit and over-temperature protection.The amplifier operates in a differential mode, where the input difference between the two channels is amplified. The output is the difference between the two input signals. This ensures gain accuracy of 0.01 percent, as the thermally-generated errors in the amplifier are cancelled out. The amplifier also features a few external pins to control the input and output operations.
