LMZ7-SW65 is a medium power LED lighting module suitable for spotlights and convex lighting. It is part of the LMZ series from Lumileds and is mainly used in illumination with a colour temperature of 2700K and a colour rendering index value of CRI 80.The LMZ7-SW65 has a unique power management system which makes it ideal for spotlights, recessed lighting and cove lighting. The LMZ module series has two main parts, an LED light source and a power supply unit. The LED light source is composed of an LED package, a reflector and a heat sink. These parts work together to provide an efficient and highly configurable LED light source. The power supply unit ensures that the LED light source is provided with the correct voltage and current thus ensuring the effective and safe operation of the LED light source.The LMZ series has two types of LED packages, Type 23 and Type 36. The Type 23 LED package is ideal for spotlights, recessed lighting and cove lighting whereas the Type 36 LED package is mainly used for general illumination purposes. The LED packages come with an array of LED chips which provide an even light distribution and have the ability to dim from dark to light.The working principle of the LMZ series is based on the three principles of power management. These three principles are; insulation, smoothing and dimming. Through insulation, the different parts of the LED light source are insulated from each other to ensure efficient operation and safer operation of the LED light source. The smoothing principle ensures that the LED light source is provided with a consistent current and voltage by smoothing out any fluctuations in the input power. The dimming principle ensures that the LED light source is dimmed to a suitable brightness level which can be easily adjusted with the use of a controller.The LMZ7-SW65 is a perfect choice for lighting applications where a high level of control is required such as spotlights, recessed lighting, and cove lighting. Through its unique power management system it is capable of delivering a highly configurable LED light source with an even light distribution and dimming capabilities.
