The LN38GP is a compact, flat-panel design made up of white injection-molded Polycarbonate material with four green LEDs on the left, two yellow LEDs on the right, and two red LEDs on the bottom band. It has a high intensity rating of 15 mcd (normal range). The vertical viewing angle is 120°, and the horizontal viewing angle is 140° (with a minimum off-axis luminance of 50%). It can be used with a wide variety of inputs, including DC or AC pulses, square waveforms, or pulse-width modulated (PWM) signals.

The working principle of the LN38GP is relatively simple. Depending on the input signal supplied to the indicator, each LED will either be illuminated or not. When the input signal is low (0 V), all the LEDs will be lighted and the overall illumination of the device will increase. Conversely, when a high signal (5 V) is supplied, all the LEDs will be extinguished and the overall illumination of the device will drop significantly.

The LN38GP also features a built-in thermal protection feature that prevents the unit from overheating and being damaged by prolonged use. Additionally, it has a wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +85°C), allowing it to be used in a wide range of environmental conditions.The LN38GP is UL recognized, RoHS compliant, and provided with a 0.5” wide connector.
