LP2951CMMX/NOPB is a 3.0V to 20V low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator from Texas Instruments (TI). It is designed for various applications that involve at least one voltage supply and requires up to 150mA of output current. This device is a three-terminal, low power consumption regulator and contains an integrated voltage reference, two high precision resistors, and a pass element. It is available in a TSSOP-8 package, which is suitable for use in space-constrained boards and other applications where small footprins are essential.The LP2951CMMX/NOPB provides excellent regulation of voltage and low dropout performance as well as low noise, which allows it to be used in audio, video, and communication systems. The device features a fixed enable voltage level and it can be enabled directly from a microcontroller or processor.The LP2951CMMX/NOPB has an integrated internal Current Limiting and Thermal Shut-down circuit that protects the device against overloading. The current limit protection of the device ensures that the output current is regulated within a safe level and in case of an overload situation, the device automatically shuts down and the output voltage will drop to 0.1V.The LP2951CMMX/NOPB is a cost-effective, low power, 3-terminal linear voltage regulator. Its high reliability, low noise characteristics, wide input voltage range, and integrated current limiting and thermal shut-down make it ideal for various applications including audio and video equipment, communication systems, and portable and industrial applications. The device is available in a TSSOP-8 package, which allows for a small footprint, which is essential for space-constrained boards and other applications.
