The LP2981AIM5X-3.2/NOPB is a low quiescent current low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator designed for providing a regulated output voltage of 3.3 volts. It was designed to provide accurate and stable output voltage in the presence of line and load transients, and to further minimize output voltage variability due to temperature variations. The LP2981AIM5X-3.2/NOPB is a part of the PMIC - Voltage Regulators - Linear family. This part is a three-terminal LDO voltage regulator with 1.2 V to 5.5 V input voltage range, 1.25 V to 5.5 V adjustable output voltage range and output current up to 150 mA. It features very low quiescent current when enabled. The LP2981AIM5X-3.2/NOPB is an integrated voltage regulator with a high power density and low ground current, making it suitable for applications with limited board space. The device is designed to operate in the presence of high surge current loads. The device has current limit, thermal overload protection and output voltage soft-start limiting inrush current.The main parameters for the LP2981AIM5X-3.2/NOPB are its input voltage, output voltage, efficiency, thermal performance, and transient response. The device exhibits excellent thermal performance with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Additionally, the LP2981AIM5X-3.2/NOPB is sensitive to simple EMI and RFI protection circuits, which can be useful in crowded PCBs as well as in medical/professional applications. In terms of transient response, the LP2981AIM5X-3.2/NOPB has an excellent response to transients due to its low output voltage noise and low input voltage ripple rejection. There is also a wide range of droop voltage that the LP2981AIM5X-3.2/NOPB can tolerate. The LP2981AIM5X-3.2/NOPB is a low-cost solution for providing a regulated output voltage of 3.3 V.
