LP2985IM5X-2.8 is a low-dropout voltage regulator that combines power management features and low-cost efficiency. LP2985IM5X-2.8 belongs to the family of electronic power management solutions which includes the low-cost linear voltage regulators for low voltage applications.

The LP2985IM5X-2.8 is a high performance, integrated low input and output ULTRACOMP™ Low Dropout Regulator (LDR). It is designed to provide power supplies with a high level of system integration, optimized efficiency/performance/cost ratio, and improved thermal performance.

This regulator is designed to supply power to up to three output stages and features integrated IQLS™ (Intelligent Queued Load Switching) technology which enables an efficient, ultra low dropout, low noise and low quiescent current solution. This is possible even in the presence of high output short circuits, which can occur during system malfunctions or as result of a power supply fault.
