LP3943ISQEV is an LED driver evaluation board with various features and applications. This LED driver evaluation board can be used for various lighting applications such as general lighting, spot lighting, commercial lighting, applications and luminaires with the integrated low-voltage protection current-limiting constant-current LED driver with a variable switching frequency. The LP3943ISQEV evaluation board design incorporates the latest in technology to provide user-friendly operation, with high reliability and accurate performance.The LP3943ISQEV evaluation board features a wide range of outputs for various customer solutions, as well as an AC input voltage range from 85 Vrms to 305 Vrms. It has a power output of up to 10W. This evaluation board provides versatility in the adjustable output current range of 350-1000mA and adjustable switching frequency, allowing the user to optimize system efficiency and minimize component count.The working principle behind this LED driver evaluation board is linear approach. It is designed to convert AC input voltage into DC output voltage and current, to be used to drive up to one string of LEDs. To accomplish this, the evaluation board features a full-wave bridge rectifier to convert the AC input voltage into DC before it is fed to the constant-current LED driver. The LED driver consists of a power MOSFET and three primary control elements: a PWM current control loop; a voltage feedback loop, and a thermal shutdown circuit.The control loop is first used to detect the LED voltage and adjust the pulse width (duty cycle) of the output to achieve desired output. The voltage feedback loop monitors the output voltage, while a positive temperature coefficient thermistor and other temperature sensitive components prevent the LED driver from exceeding the predefined temperature limits. The LP3943ISQEV has a variety of applications, such as in low-power LED lighting, CCTV applications, architectural lighting fixtures, and various other applications where an efficient and reliable LED driver is desired. The LP3943ISQEV evaluation board is capable of driving a single string of LEDs, up to 10W. It is also designed to work with low input voltages from 85-305Vth, adjustable current range from 350-1000mA, and adjustable switching frequency. Furthermore, this LED driver evaluation board is designed for high-power applications and offers excellent accuracy and efficiency, as well as superior EMI/EMC performance. It is also equipped with various benefits, such as built-in undervoltage lockouts, overload protection, and a thermally sensitive overload shutdown circuit. The board also provides a variety of protection and control functions, as well as adjustable output current.The LP3943ISQEV evaluation board is an efficient, reliable, and accurate LED driver that can be used in a variety of applications.
