The LSHM-120-06.0-F-DV-A-N-K-TR is a type of rectangular connector – array, edge type, mezzanine (board to board). It has dual vertical mount method utilizing one another, 90 degree board-in and may position itself securely to printed circuit board.

The front panel includes two floating pushed latches and two sets of grip pins on each side to help secure it to other housing. It is also provided with two alignment keys, where the pins engage to make sure Boards are in correct alignment. The mezzanine also includes pull-tab which makes it easy to disengage the two boards. The Keys are 180 degrees apart and are usually used on 0.015” and right angle PC Boards.

The connector has a total of 14 pins, which are gold plated, on two rows – each row has seven pins. All the columns are gold plated to ensure good circuit continuity and reliable connection. The mating and unmating forces are 2.0 kilograms and 0.5 kilograms respectively. It basically helps in electrical and data connectivity between two boards.

The connector works on principle of electrical continuity. When two boards are powered on, the pins and sockets make contact and the electricity flows through them. Electrical signals from one board are transmitted to the other board and the connection is established via contacts. The contacts are gold plated to ensure good conductivity and promote electrical and data connectivity.
