In order to do so, LSRK225.X contains a melting part which is mainly comprised of series of metallic alloy strips. These components have a double-chained action of two separate parts of the component. One part is the fusible element which is designed in such a way that it melts quickly when exposed to temperature above its tolerance and the other part is the switching part which consists the whole mechanism of controlling the current level.

When the current level exceeds the tolerable level, the fusible element melts due to high temperature and breaks the path of the total current, thus, making the device enter into an open state.

By this mechanism the device prevents any heavy damages from occurring by breaking the current path and isolating it. This eventually helps the circuit function in achieving its normal operational capacity, as per the standard guidelines.

The LSRK225.X comes with a breaking capacity of 65kA which means if the current beyond a certain level, will be immediately cut-off, thereby, helping it to retain its normal operational capacity. This is why the LSRK225.X is able to provide a high level of protection for different electric components.
