The LT1339CSW#PBF is a voltage regulator family from Linear Technology\'s Switching controllers PMIC range. It provides solutions for low power and space-constrained applications requiring step-down conversion. The LT1339CSW series of switching regulators can reach over 95% efficiency and provide up to 5A of output current, making them ideal for lightweight and power efficient applications such as cell phones, portable media and other battery-powered devices.The LT1339CSW#PBF family of voltage regulators has many features designed to improve system efficiency, including an adjustable frequency, an under current-protection circuit and a power-saving skip mode. It also has a frequency synchronization function, which allows multiple regulators to be run in sync in order to reduce noise and optimize system power. The output voltage can be adjusted via a fixed external resistor divider, allowing the LT1339CSW#PBF to provide a range of output voltages from 0.7V to 5.5V.The LT1339CSW#PBF is an ideal solution for many power conversion applications such as LED drivers, linear battery chargers and point-of-load regulators. Its switching frequency is adjustable from 200 kHz to 1.2 MHz, which allows for flexibility in design. The LT1339CSW#PBF also features an internal compensation network for fast transient response, as well as low shutdown current to reduce the power consumption of the system in standby mode. The LT1339CSW#PBF is available in a variety of packages and can operate over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.The working principle of the LT1339CSW#PBF is based on a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control topology. A comparator driven by an external voltage reference compares the feedback voltage with the internal voltage reference. The comparator difference creates pulse-width modulation, and the output switch connected to the feedback pin is turned on or off to regulate the output voltage. The LT1339CSW#PBF also offers an optional Self-Biased Compensation circuit to improve the transient response during load changes.
