LT1575CN8-1.5 is a monolithic DC-to-DC converter and voltage regulator controller developed by Linear Technology Corporation. It allows the design of a cost-effective, small size and high power density with easily implemented control systems. The device has integrated bootstrap control for galvanic isolation bipolar power supplies, as well as a low-noise and fast transient response, wide range of output voltage up to 20V and up to 1.5 Amp peak current. It is suitable for many applications such as medical, automotive and computing.
The LT1575CN8-1.5 utilizes a typical linear voltage regulator architecture with the addition of protection circuitry and reference circuitry. It has an input voltage of 5.5V to 32V, a 200mV reference voltage which is adjustable, and an output current of 0.2A to 1.5A, adjustable with an external sense resistor. A frequency of up to 750 kHz can be set with an external resistor. Comparators are employed to monitor the output voltage and the current limit. The device also features shutdown and thermal protection, under voltage lockout and soft-start, which adjusts the power-on behavior.
The key application of LT1575CN8-1.5 is its ability to create isolated high-power DC/DC converter designs.
