The LT1512CS8#TRPBF is a micro-power high-efficiency CMOS SWIFT fast-charging system battery charger with input supply current settings optimized for USB-powered applications. It is a variable-frequency, synchronous-diode (auto-PAR), buck-boost switching DC/DC converter with a digitally programmable output current that ranges from 0.5A to 1.5A and a dynamic power limit up to 5W. The LT1512CS8#TRPBF operates from input supply voltages as low as 4.2V, making it suitable for low-voltage USB supplies. The LT1512CS8#TRPBF is optimized for fast-charging rechargeable Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) and Lithium-Polymer (Li-Poly) batteries. The device features an optional high-side MOSFET that significantly reduces system power consumption in idle mode with an input supply current of only 115mV dropout. Its small 8-Pin SC70JW package makes it ideal for portable applications where board space is minimal or enclosure space is limited.
