Working Principle
LT1962IMS8#TRPBF are N-channel mosfet linear voltage regulator operating in the dropout region. Whereas the load current level increases, the reference voltage is increased due to the influence of voltage on the output, causing the output voltage to drop. This variation of output voltage is known as the dropout voltage. This dropout voltage is the range in which the linear voltage regulator operates.

It takes two voltages were two DC/DC converters are connected in series, with one supplying the input voltage (Vin) and the other supplying the oscillator (V OSC) and the \'ground\', which is the common connection between both voltage sources. The input voltage is then applied to the gate of an N-channel Mosfet, which is connected between the input and output nodes. The N-channel MOSFET controls the output voltage by creating a path for the output voltage to be regulated depending on the input voltage. At the output node, the linear voltage regulator acts as a current source, and the output voltage is set by the feedback loop. With the use of the reverse-biased diode, the voltage regulator allows for a much lower dropout voltage compared to a regular linear voltage regulator, thus making it more power-efficient.

The LT1962IMS8#TRPBF also include a shutdown function, which helps conserve power when the device is not in use. When the shutdown pin is set high, the device is immediately powered off, leading to a power saving solution.
