LT1963EFE-3.3#TRPBF is a low-dropout, low-noise, high-accuracy, adjustable, three-terminal linear voltage regulator. It is an integrated circuit (IC) used for regulating the output voltage of a power supply. This regulator is housed in a thermally enhanced 10-pin EP Exposed Pad package and can be used in various applications where a precise and reliable voltage is needed.

The device includes an externally adjustable shunt regulator which, when combined with an external resistor divider, allows the output voltage to be preset and trimmed to any value between 1.2 V and 3.3 V. The output voltage can also be adjusted on-the-fly using an external reference voltage.

The LT1963EFE-3.3#TRPBF operates by the principle of negative feedback. The device includes an error amplifier which has its input connected to the external reference voltage, and its output connected to the base of a pass transistor. When the output voltage and the reference voltage match, the error amplifier produces a voltage (VFB) so that the pass transistor remains in a constant current state. This results in a regulated output voltage. If the output voltage deviates from the reference voltage, the error amplifier will adjust the pass transistor’s current state appropriately, eventually restoring the output voltage to the desired value. The output voltage is then further kept stable by the loop gain of the error amplifier.The LT1963EFE-3.3#TRPBF features internal current limiting, overload protection, and safety shutdown protection.
