The LT3042EDD#PBF device is a high-performance, high-efficiency, low-power, low-voltage linear voltage regulator. It is manufactured by Linear Technology and combines the efficient, high-current performance of the previous LT3042 generations with the improved power dissipation and programmable output current limit of previous-generation LT3042 family regulators.This highly efficient regulator has an operating temperature range of -20C to 125C, which allows it to be used in a wide range of applications. The design helps reduce board space as the regulator occupies a small footprint of up to 2 mm square.

Application Field and Working Principle of LT3042EDD#PBF

The LT3042EDD#PBF is suitable for many applications, including low-voltage, low-power buck and boost regulator designs and battery chargers. It can also be used in Li-ion battery applications, providing very low dropout linear regulation in the 0.75V to 3V range. It is also well suited for LED lighting applications, providing superior efficiency and high-current performance, while reducing power dissipation.The regulator also features an On/Off pin which enables the user to control the regulator status.
