The LT3570IFE#PBF is a wide-input range, Synchronous Step Up (Boost) switching DC/DC Converter that uses switching technology to highly efficiently step-up from low input voltage sources to higher output voltages. It is a feature packed and flexible converter suited for a wide range of applications. It comes with current limiting, short circuit protection, over-voltage protection, thermal shutdown protection, as well as shutdown and soft-start modes for improved efficiency.Application Field
The LT3570IFE#PBF is designed for applications such as ultra-low current and always-on, energy harvesting systems, battery management systems, healthcare electronics, portable and wearable applications, household appliances, remote monitoring systems, and civil, industrial, and automotive automotive markets. Compared to existing solutions, it is especially suitable when low quiescent current is required and at the same time high efficiency is desired, with a wide input voltage range of 3V to 28V.Working Principle
The LT3570IFE#PBF is a switching regulator with a unique synchronous boost topology, which allows it to operate with the highest possible efficiency - up to 93% - at any given switching frequency. It utilizes integrated MOSFETs, inductor, and compensation circuitry to ensure maximum performance and reliability.The LT3570IFE#PBF uses a fixed switching frequency of 250kHz that can be adjusted with a single external resistor. The output of the device is monitored by an integrated feedback circuit which provides a stable and accurate output voltage. The device also integrates a current sense amplifier and a low-impedance discharge circuit to allow for maximum output current from the device. The built-in soft-start and current limit functions enable the device to start up quickly and limit output current for improved reliability and safety. Additionally, the device utilizes an adjustable programmable power-on delay to enable further control over the system.The LT3570IFE#PBF can operate in both continuous-conduction (CCM) and discontinuous-conduction (DCM) modes, giving it improved efficiency over the load range. It is protected against input-under-voltage, output-over-voltage, output-current over-limit and thermal overload conditions.
