It supports up to 36 LEDs in series and delivers up to 6.5A peak output current. The output voltage is locked to the VLED pin voltage that is internally regulated to 4.75V for optimal efficiency, and is programmable using an external resistor. Constant currents of up to 750mA can be set with accuracy of 1% or better. The device can be configured in buck, buck-boost or boost mode, allowing it to adapt to any input voltage. The input voltage range starts at 2.5V and can go up to 28V. The high efficiency of the device is due to the buck architecture at low input voltage and its 3-step adaptive on-time control. It also features dual synchronous Rectifiers for regulated output, integrated loop compensation, programmable current sense sense window and 7-bit soft start for controlled ramp rates.
