LT8362EDD#TRPBF: An Overview

The LT8362EDD#TRPBF is a dual-channel step-down switching regulator designed voltage regulator located in Power Management ICs (PMICs) / Voltage Regulators / DC-DC Switching Regulators. This chip is an optimised buck converter solution, capable of operating from a wide input voltage and provides efficient, high performance step-down switching. The LT8362EDD#TRPBF switches at a fixed frequency of 250kHz and includes a Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) feature for extended battery life. The regulator also has two integrated drivers, current-mode control, integrated power MOSFETs with anti-saturation protection, current sensing, short-circuit protection and over-temperature warning. Working Principle

The LT8362EDD#TRPBF operates in a buck-switch mode. This mode is suitable for applications where there is need for wide input voltage with reduced cost and size. In discontinuous mode, the power MOSFET is only turned on when there is a current in the inductor. Otherwise, the device switches off and the system is in its low quiescent current mode.
