LT8610AHMSE-5#TRPBF, a member of the DC DC Switching Regulator family, is a high-efficiency, low-noise, adjustable synchronous step-down DC DC converter. The buck converter provides up to 1.5 A of continuous output current with a wide 4.5 V to 60 V input voltage range. The buck converter has high power conversion efficiency and low quiescent current. It can be used in any DC-DC synchronous buck application that requires an input voltage of 4.5 V to 60 V and an adjustable output voltage of 0.8 V to VIN.
The LT8610AHMSE-5#TRPBF buck converter features an adjustable switching frequency of 250 kHz to 1 MHz, allowing for a better noise control, in addition to improved design flexibility for circuit length selection and better EMI performance. In addition, the buck converter has short-circuit, over-current, and thermal protection.

LT8610AHMSE-5#TRPBF Working Principle
The LT8610AHMSE-5#TRPBF buck converter works on a three-phase interleaved architecture, wherein the topologies optimize the usage of power inductors and enhance the size, light weight and efficiency. The buck converter has a fixed switching frequency of about 250 kHz to 1 MHz and an adjustable output voltage of 0.8 V to VIN. The buck converter is capable of maintaining an output voltage of no less than 0.86 VIN. The output voltage of the buck converter is governed by the Input voltage, the duty cycle of the integrated high-side and low-side FETs, and the required output power.
The buck converter is powered by an external source, and the input voltage is provided to the converter from this source. The input voltage passes through an input filter and is applied to an internal control circuit which generates a control signal to regulate the output voltage. The control signal is then used to control the duty cycle of the internal high-side and low-side FETs, which act as a switch to divert the input power into either the output capacitor or the drain of the low-side FET, to regulate the output voltage of the buck converter.
The buck converter is capable of regulating output voltage even in the presence of load transients. The buck converter has a low quiescent current and operates at high power conversion efficiency. The buck converter also features a wide input voltage range and is capable of supplying up to 1.5 A of continuous output current. In addition, the buck converter has short-circuit, over-current, and thermal protection.
