Data Acquisition - Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) play an important role in today’s modern electronic devices and technologies. The LTC2220IUP-1#TRPBF is a monolithic low-power 10-bit ADC, capable of sampling analogue input frequencies up to 3 MHz. The A/D converter can sample signals at up to 3 MHz and has a resolution of 10 bits. It offers an excellent signal-to-noise ratio of 48 dB and a signal-to-noise + distortion ratio of 58 dB, allowing for fast and accurate signal acquisition. The converter operates on a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V power supply, consuming less than 175 mW of static power and typically 3 mW of dynamic power in the 3 MHz conversion rate.

The wide gain range of the LTC2220IUP-1#TRPBF is achieved via the built-in full-swing input stage. This stage amplifies the input signal voltage and presents it to the A/D converter as a full-swing signal. Additionally, the self-calibration feature of the converter helps to further improve the accuracy of the A/D converter.
