Working Principle

The LTC2310IMSE-14#PFB processes an analog input voltage and converts it to a digital code. The analog input is sampled, integrated and converted through a successive approximation converter. The 12-bit digital representation provides 0 to +Fsr voltage range, where Fsr is the full scale range. A final 11-bit non-uniformity correction effectively provides 24-bit resolution.

The LTC2310IMSE-14#PFB has a built-in reference that adjusts automatically to provide full scale conversion of any input voltage up to ±Vref (nominally 1.25V). An internal analog multiplexer allows two external inputs, each with its own sample/hold circuit to be sampled and converted. The multiplexer also allows for a combination of the two with one multiplexed with the internal reference.
