Data Acquisition (DAQ) devices are critical components of bridge circuits, used to translate analog signals into digital signals. ADC devices are one example of DAQ that facilitate the manipulation of digital data by providing input/output (I/O) conversion of analog signals. The LTC2325HUKG-14#TRPBF is a low power, low noise, single channel, high performance, 16-bit SAR analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It is capable of converting a maximum voltage range of ±2.5V to ±4.096V at a sampling rate of 51.2MSPS. This ADC has low power consumption of 21mW at 2.7V and 24.5mW at 3.3V. In this architecture, a successive approximation register (SAR) is used to compare the input signal with a ramp signal. Starting with a zero bit, the SAR counts up to the maximum bits value. When the SAR count reaches the value as close as possible to the input signal, the output of the ADC is a digital representation of the input signal in the form of an N-bit binary code. This binary code is then converted to digital voltage with the help of a reference voltage. The high speed SAR logic and the programmable input buffer of the LTC2325HUKG-14#TRPBF further enhances the performance of the ADC.

The LTC2325HUKG-14#TRPBF is designed to support an input bandwidth of up to 80 MHz. Its 1.5V reference voltage regulator provides high accuracy, along with low drift and low power consumption. It also features a differential switching track-and-hold amplifier, which enables the ADC to work with a wide input voltage range. The LTC2325HUKG-14#TRPBF comes with an internal clock generator and multiple input and output terminals for integrating it with system buses.
