Data Acquisition - Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) comes in different types and forms to meet the needs of many different applications. One type of converter is the Linear Technology LTC2445IUHF#PBF, a high-performance 24-bit, low-power, single-supply sigma-delta ADC.
The LTC2445IUHF is a pin-compatible and functionally comparable upgrade over the 24-bit SAR (successive approximation register) ADC and provides around 12.5 times more dynamic range and up to 4 times more throughput than its SAR counterpart, without compromising on power consumption.
The LTC2445IUHF is ideal for long battery-life and low-power systems, replacing SAR ADCs and thermocouples, as well as other temperature measurement and data acquisition applications. It can be used in medical and industrial systems, remote data acquisition systems, and even in automotive applications.
The LTC2445IUHF offers a maximum conversion rate of 1.6Ksps (kilo samples per second) with a maximum current consumption of only 2.6mA and a low shutdown current of 30nA with a 1.8V analog supply.
