LTC2936CUFD#PBF (LTC2936) PMIC – Supervisors integration (PMIC) provides an optimized digital solution for energy management and power sequencing. This Supervisor is designed to supervise multiple power supplies and to provide power sequencing functions. It can be used as a standalone regulator or as a companion IC in a system with digital power management.
LTC2936 automatically sequences digital power supplies in response to supply requests from system components or other digital power management controllers. It allows multiple digital power supplies to be connected in parallel with each supply regulated independently. The LTC2936 is capable of regulating supply output to within a very tight tolerance and of continuously monitoring the system’s power performances. As a result, it ensures maximum system performance, improves system efficiency and stability.
The LTC2936CUFD#PBF is in a 14-lead Plastic Dual Inline Package (PDIP). It is compliant with RoHS directives and can operate from voltages ranging from 1.8V to 16V with a maximum output current of 1A. It is a low-power consumer and has an operating temperature range -40°C to 85°C and a storage temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.

The working principle of the LTC2936CUFD#PBF PMIC – Supervisors is as follows: First and foremost, the supply power is distributed among two or more channels, each channel containing two monolithic power transistors. These transistors are monitored by the Supervisor by means of independent power component sense pins. The Supervisor utilizes voltage and current feedback from these pins to detect, monitor and regulate the supplies within a specified level.
For each supply channel, the LTC2936CUFD#PBF PMIC – Supervisors is equipped with two dedicated control pins. The first pin enables the user to provide a set voltage for the supply output by adjusting the feedback voltage at the input pins of the Supervisor. The second, intuitively called as “EN” or “AV” (enabled or disable) pin, allows the user to switch the supply on or off as needed. Internal soft start and current limiting features, provide further flexibility and improve system stability.
