LTC3604EUD#PBF

The LTC3604EUD#PBF belongs to the category of PMIC – Voltage Regulators – DC DC Switching Regulators. The working principle of LTC3604EUD#PBF is based on the switch-mode buck or step-down DC to DC converter. This regulator has two primary portions, a high side power switch and a low-side power switch, which are connected in series. The controller instructs these two switches to alternately turn on and off in order to reduce the output voltage. The typical cycle begins by the high side switch turning on and allowing voltage to flow from the input to the inductor and the output capacitor. After the voltage buildup the controller turns off the high side switch, the low side switch turns on, allowing the inductor current to flow through the low side switch and the output capacitor to the output. This process is initially repeated while the inductor current decreases and finally the converter enters into a steady state.

The LTC3604EUD#PBF utilities current mode control with integrated compensation, allowing the loop to be easily modified for different topologies and different output capacitors. This architecture delivers superior transient response and fast loop compensation. The controller also features precalibrated slope compensation, eliminating the need to set external capacitor values for optimal operation over the whole switching frequency range.
