The LTC3618EFE#PBF is a highly integrated special purpose voltage regulator for higher power applications, such as for graphic APIs and DDR memory supplies. This device combines its maximum 200kHz switching frequency with a digitally programmable channel-specific current limit as well as thermal protection for higher power applications. Furthermore, the LTC3618EFE#PBF offers an extensive range of integrated features including a stable 60mV voltage reference, cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection and thermal overload protection.
The LTC3618EFE#PBF is built with a frequency-compensated voltage regulator and current amplifier capable of regulating up to 3A of output load current. Its low output ripple and transient response ensure the required accuracy under varying load conditions. It also includes an accurate output voltage trimming for channel-specific set points and includes support for up to 10 channels, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications from power displays and consumer digital applications to industrial machines and medical devices.
The LTC3618EFE#PBF works by regulating the output voltage as close as possible to the predetermined reference voltage.
