The LTC3621EDCB-25#TRPBF is a buck-boost, high-efficiency PMIC switching regulator. It has the ability to reduce both step-up and step-down voltage from the input source to the load, making it an ideal solution for portable application designs that may require a higher voltage or lower voltage output than input.The LTC3621EDCB features a Space-Saving, 3.2mm W max x 3.2mm L max DFN-8, Pb-Free Package, making it perfect for card or board space constrained designs that require a switch-mode power solution. It supports inputs voltages ranging from 4.5V to 28V and a maximum output voltage of 24V. It also offers a wide adjustable output voltage range of 0.8V to 24V with a very high efficiency of up to 94%.Primary applications of the Buck-Boost, High-Efficiency PMIC switching regulator include:

• Digital wireless
• Portable navigation systems
• Battery-powered applications
• USB-powered applications and other portable/mobile devices.

The device uses a PINFET Control architecture which provides high-efficiency with low-ripple current and reduced EMI. It also includes a built-in soft-start that helps dissipate the inrush current by delaying the start-up of the output. This feature also prevents output overshoot when the input is subject to large transients.Other features of the LTC3621EDCB include an adjustable frequency of operation up to 2 MHz, high switching current of up to 2.5 A, over current and thermal protection, an adjustable current limit and a high speed power-good signal that indicates whether the output voltage is within the desired range.With its high-efficiency, a wide input voltage range and operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, the LTC3621EDCB provides a flexible and robust solution for small-size portable and mobile applications.
