The LTC3621IMS8E#TRPBF is a step-down switching regulator complete with an integrated 1.2 A switch and 0.2 Ω MOSFET. The regulator is designed using a topology that combines low-loss Synchronous rectification with high current capability. With over 90% peak efficiency and automatic PFM/PWM (pulse frequency modulation/pulse width modulation) control modes, this regulator is ideal for battery-powered applications, such as cell phones, PDAs, and all low-power, non-isolated, constant power and current systems.A wide input voltage range (3V to 25V) and 3A output current capability enables the LTC3621IMS8E#TRPBF to be used in a wide variety of applications. The LTC3621IMS8E#TRPBF features a comprehensive enable / disable control, and a programmable, low-dropout output voltage. Some of the other features include thermal shutdown, over-current protection and short-circuit protected (hard-short circuit proof).
