The device also offers advanced control features such as an adjustableCurrent-Mode Control frequency (CCMF), slope compensation which is adjustable via an external resistor, and it also features a logic-level feedback voltage (VFB) regulator which is capable of controlling an array of topologies including flyback, forward, buck, and buck-boost.The working principle of the LTC3851AEMSE#TRPBF is quite simple. It provides a regulatedoutput voltage of up to 65V, by sensing the input voltage, loading conditions and temperature fluctuations. It then adjusts the switching frequency to maintain a constant output voltage.The major components of the LTC3851AEMSE#TRPBF are the comparator, voltage reference, oscillator, power switch and current sensing isolation circuit. The comparator senses the voltage at the output and compares it with the reference voltage. The reference voltage is adjustable for fine tuning, and the oscillator sets the switching frequency. The power switch is a low-side transistor, and the current sensing isolation circuit is a transformer which is used to transform any changes to the sense resistor into a current signal.The basic operation of the LTC3851AEMSE#TRPBF is simple.
