The LTC939CS#TRPBF is an integrated DC-to-DC switching regulator and filter, providing an efficient and noise-immune solution for TO-263 3A and 4A applications. This power management IC offers high-performance output regulation from an adjustable 2.5 V to 18 V. As a high-performance DC-to-DC regulator, the LTC939CS#TRPBF is capable of providing steady and stable regulated power for a variety of applications including, but not limited to, computer CPUs, FPGAs and DSPs, automotive systems and LCD displays.

The LTC939CS#TRPBF integrates a 1A low-dropout linear regulator (LDO) and a 3A DC-to-DC buck converter with an input voltage range of 2.5 V to 18 V. The LDO includes a push-pull current limit driver that adjusts to a pre-programmed output current level with the adjusting voltage range from 2.6 V to 17 V. This allows the LTC939CS#TRPBF to last longer than comparable products.

The high frequency, synchronous P-FET DC-to-DC buck converter can be configured for a wide range of output voltages and power capabilities. A built-in frequency limit feature limits the switching frequency at heavy loads to further improve efficiency. This IC also features a built-in current limit and over temperature protection, thus ensuring a safe operation.
