The oscillating voltage induced in the secondary winding is rectified, smoothed, and amplified by the detection circuitry and then processed to give an analog current output. This output is proportional to the measured current and is used to further process the signal to create a digital output.

The maximum measurement accuracy varies between ±0.1% and ±0.3% depending on the model, while the temperature range is between -40°C and +85°C.
