The LV5117AV-TLM-H is an advanced high performance battery management system suitable for a wide range of applications. It is comprised of an 8-bit processor, an SFR (special function register) controller, an input/output controller, and an onchip ADC and DAC (analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters). These are all present to ensure that the system functions properly and regulates the battery discharge and charge currents, providing safety and reliability for all types of batteries.
In order to manage the current within the BMS, a special algorithm is used to control a series of switches connected in parallel to each cell. These switches are opened and closed periodically to balance the cells in the battery. The LV5117AV-TLM-H is designed to manage the current flow within a multi-cell system, ensuring the maximum achievable level of charging and energy storage in the battery.
