Working Principle:The LX2173CM synchronous step-down DC/DC switching regulator uses a buck topology to transfer power from the input source to the output load. It uses two external MOSFETs controlled by a signal from the voltage feedback loop. This loop is created by a voltage divider (consisting of a resistor and usually a potentiometer) that monitors the output voltage. The signal then reaches the integrated Error Amplifier. It amplifies the signal and a corrected voltage level is sent to the Pulse Width Modulator (PWM).
