The LYT3324D is a PMIC LED driver with wide output current range and enable/shutdown function that is suitable for low-voltage LED lighting applications.

As a three-channel LED driver, the LYT3324D can simultaneously provide controlling current for three strings of multiple LEDs. The device features a wide output current range from 200 mA to 3 A over the -40°C to +85°C ambient temperature range, and the adjustable output current works well for LED lighting applications.

Working Principle:

The LYT3324D includes three separate loops for individual drive of three strings of LEDs. The output current of each loop is programmable with a single external resister. The Enable pin functions as an input voltage switch that can turn on/off the device. The device also features over temperature protection (OTP) and under-voltage lockout (UVLO). When the junction temperature of device exceeds the OTP temperature, the device will temporarily be disabled until the junction temperature drops to specified limit. The UVLO provides a complete protection against the under-voltage of the device input. The UVLO threshold can be configured by an external resistor.
