The M1020-11-125.0000T is an integrated frequency synthesizer designed for clock generation and phase-locking applications. It is a high-speed, low-power frequency synthesizer with integer-channel tuning, integrated phase and frequency control, and programmable phase-locked loop (PLL) characteristics. Its primary application is in the generation of high-speed digital system clocks and embedding of fine-grained phase and frequency control.The synthesizer utilizes a digital PLL (DPLL) to generate clock signals and modulate their frequency and phase while remaining in lock. It includes an integer-channel synthesizer (IC) as the main frequency source, linear and digital PLL (LPLL and DPLL) as the channel-selecting and modulation unit, and an integrated oscillator for reference frequency synthesis.The M1020-11-125.0000T synthesizer achieves precision frequency control through intra-channel tuning. It provides the users with highly repeatable, low-jitter clock generation, with output frequency spread and temperature stability as low as 50 ppb. The output clock frequency is programmable via a standard two-wire serial adaptation protocol (SPI). The user can configure the synthesizer for reference frequency between 5 and 40 MHz with resolution of 200 kHz, and for output frequency between 5 and 125 MHz. The output jitter can be specified to be less than 1 ps RMS in most frequency ranges.The M1020-11-125.0000T synthesizer can be used in various system implementations. It can be used as a standalone frequency control source and as a system-level clock source.
